Digital Inclusion Wales 2008, Cardiff

Digital Inclusion Wales 2008

The Digital Inclusion Wales Conference 2008 was organised to help develop and sustain a digital inclusion movement in Wales. The conference highlighted the social and economic benefits of digital inclusion to the voluntary, public, private and community sectors and how bridging the digital divide in Wales remains an important challenge to all involved. Hosted by the Welsh Assembly Government and the Wales Co-operative Centre, the event highlighted examples of the work that has been supported through Communities @One and gave funded projects the opportunity to share their experiences.

The conference programme included a mix of speeches, presentations, workshops, seminars and networking opportunities, that were delivered by a range of people and organisations at the forefront of the ongoing development of digital inclusion in Wales.

The keynote speech of the day was delivered by Deputy Minister for Regeneration, Leighton Andrews; with speeches also made by the Communities @One Project Manager who looked toward the future of Communities @One and Digital Inclusion.
